We start our tour today with a visit to print.flagnation.com. Here we will visit a design to celebrate President Barack Obama's endorsement of Gay marriage.

The design features the word "LOVE" in the colors (or colours, for British speakers) of the Gay Pride Rainbow Flag. However, for artistic effect, the "O" in love has been replaced with a heart shaped Gay Pride Flag. Fun, sweet, celebratory, and available in many T-shirts and other items at Gay in Love Colors

Here is one product, a lovely apron, with the design on it:
Products with this design make wonderful gifts for birthdays, Christmas, graduations, Valentine's Day, engagements, and, of course, WEDDINGS!

You can also find this design on products at:

www.flagnation.com. This is one of the products available there, a candy jar with the same design as above.

This trip was one of the most fantastic times of my life. My then partner and I got in our little car (old Volvo 122S) on the east cost and drove across Canada, then down the west coast of the US. We then started hopping from one National Park to the next.

My very favorite part of the trip was on the way home. We had been car camping for 5 months (with a few stops to see family and friends) – we were back up in Canada visiting friends, then zipping across Canada again – driving directly to get home. It was the middle of the night and I looked across and the sky was the most incredible sight I have ever, ever seen in my life.

The Northern Lights were streaming across the night sky – everyone was pulled over to watch. It was a delicate curtain of green and pink. It was as if we were in a theater and someone was taking the drape and shaking it so that the curtain was wildly rippling – the waves would go one direction and then turn around and go back. This cosmic curtain was the most indelible sight of my whole life!

The first night of the trip we stayed in Yosemite and that was one exciting night!! In the middle of the night people started screaming ... bears were running through the campground. I stayed very quiet and held my breath a lot.

In the morning we all went our to see the damage ... the bears had ripped the canvas cover off our roof top carrier. They took the big plastic jar of matches we had but left the honey jar that was next to it. We recovered the matches several yards away.

Another group was not so lucky - the bears had smashed through the side door window of a new van and opened the door. They took all the freeze-dried food that was in the car. Two dads and 4 sons had been starting out on a 2-week trip - that had to get cancelled - so we were lucky.

Bryce was my favorite National Park. The fairyland spires and canyons were beyond my imagination. I was breathless when we first drove up and the pink orange magic was spread out before my eyes … I could hardly believe such beauty existed. I was totally enchanted!

I am a fine artist – my business is Diane Clancy’s Art. This Zazzle shop will show you some of my different kinds of art and direct you to the other shops if you want to see more. I have a Bubblescapes series that is amazing - and I created them in the program Bryce. I am sure this program was named for and inspired by Bryce National Park. These bubbles are delicate and fun.

Fractals are something that I enjoy making … they are mind expanding and inspiring. I love the variety of fractals that exist and that I can explore and share with you!

I also have a Fanciful Animals series where lovely cats and dogs are in meadows of flowers or butterflies. My Goddess series is powerful and may help you connect with the deepest part of yourself. I have many other poetic and whimsical paintings – both by digital and traditional mediums.

In 1974 my father, mother and I traveled to Greece. Mostly, it was to meet family we had never seen, but we did do a lot of sightseeing.

We spent two days in Athens. The most amazing thing for me was seeing St. Paul's Rock, where he preached to the people of Athens. I couldn't help but be in a state of wonder that this great saint had been standing not 5 feet from where I was at that moment.

We also visited the museum in Athens and saw the fantastic statue of Zeus. The Acropolis was lovely, and so was the Parthenon.

After we left Athens, we went to Crete, where our family lives. We stayed in the house my grandfather grew up in and met our family for the first time.

While in Crete, we did visit Knossos and saw all there was to see there. It was a lovely trip for the first 10 to 14 days. And I have wonderful memories of it and my family there.

We stayed a lot longer in my grandfather's village than we intended. We were to visit much of Europe, but the Greeks and the Turks chose to go to war with each other and that put a bit of a crimp in our plans.

Once war was declared, we could not leave Greece. And, well, since all the private planes were "drafted", as were boats, cars, and every means of transportation, except donkey, we remained on the large island of Crete for over a week past our original departure date.

Yes, I was stuck on an island. Yes, I was scared. And it was a little unpleasant to see a country at war. I was always safe, but felt that at any minute something bad could happen to us. There were rather unpleasant pictures shown on TV of things that were happening on Cypress, where the fighting was, which I will not share with you, other than to say that it saddened me to see people who have been napalmed.

While we were there, the Greek government fell, and the people had their freedom of speech back, which the junta government had taken away. It was a wonderful feeling to have the tension gone that exists when you live in a country where you have to be careful of opinions you express. And wonderful to see the happiness of the Greeks.

When we were able to leave the island and go to Athens, we could have gone on to Paris and picked up our trip from there. But I just wanted to go home. And, I will say that when I did, finally, get back to my home, safe and sound, I really did go upstairs to my bedroom and kiss the the floor.

My shop specializes in creating designs using flags of the world. There are many countries available, and some countries have many designs, some just a few.

My favorite design is one that reads, "Assembled in the USA using (name of country) parts". So, there is "Assembled in the USA using Irish parts", Italian parts, German parts, Japanese parts, etc.

Other popular designs show heart shaped flags of various countries, and some that read "I left my heart (showing a heart-shaped flag) in (name of country).

Come visit and see everything!
